CGM membership is open to all Northwestern faculty members with research interests
and experience in the area of genetics. Genetics is defined very broadly to
include the use of genetics and molecular genetic approaches to understand
biological processes.
The CGM plays a central role in recruiting new faculty members and expanding the genetics enterprise at Northwestern. The Center provides core facilities, research initiatives, travel grants for graduate students and post doctoral fellows working in the area of genetics, academic lectures, and other programs specifically designed to benefit the members.
