Research Interests
Dr. Greenland's research, teaching and clinical interests all focus
on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. He has received numerous research
grant awards and authored or co-authored over 160 papers, book chapters, and
monographs on topics related to heart disease prevention, heart disease in
women, and heart diseases in general. Dr. Greenland's current collaborative
research focuses on women's health, heart diseases in women, risk factors
for cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease epidemiology, and
nutritional aspects of high blood pressure.
He is Principal Investigator for NIH-funded "CV and non-CV Risks in Four Cohorts." He is also Principal Investigator of several NIH-funded training programs including the Clinical Research Curriculum Award (K-30), the Mentored Clinical Scholars Program (K-12), and the Post-doctoral Training Program (T32) in Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention.
