Room Reservations
The Center for Genetic Medicine manages the reservations for four conference rooms located on the 6th and 7th floors of the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center (303 E. Superior Street, Chicago).
Northwestern University faculty and staff may log into the Feinberg School of Medicine's Virtual Event Management System (VEMS) to view availability and reserve a CGM conference room. If you need a VEMS account, please contact Kasandra Pruyn at k-lewis@northwestern.edu
All rooms have internet connections and CGM has an LCD projector, overhead projector, slide projector, and laser pointer available for use during meetings (please contact CGM at 3-5600 to inquire about the availability of this shared equipment). The Mendel Conference Room (Lurie 7-127) includes the first Access Grid Node on the Chicago Campus, and it has teleconferencing and videoconferencing capability.
CGM conference rooms are available during normal university business hours (weekdays from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm). If you need access at other times, please contact CGM at 3-5600. To reserve a conference room, log in to VEMS with your netID and password and select the calendar for the conference room you wish to reserve (descriptions of rooms are listed below). Click on the day of your event and complete the pop-up form required to reserve a room. If you need to schedule an Access Grid meeting or wish to check out any of the CGM AV equipment, please specify on this form. You will receive an email confirming that we received your request.

*Priority for this conference room will be given to Lurie 6 laboratory meetings.The conference room is located in laboratory space which requires keycard access.
Lurie 7-127: Mendel Conference Room (Access Grid Node)
Capacity: 16 people
*Priority for this conference room will be given to Access Grid meetings, which require advance reservations of at least one week.
If you plan to use the Access Grid during your meeting, you must indicate this in the Notes section of the reservation form and contact Mike Curtis at m-curtis@northwestern.edu, or 7-5373, to arrange for support.
If your meeting requires use of the Lurie 7-127 videoconferencing equipment, you must make a separate reservation for IT support by clicking here.
