San Ming Wang, MD

Assistant Professor of Hematology / Oncology
Feinberg School of Medicine

Research Interests:
The research focus of Dr. San Ming Wang’s laboratory is genome sciences. The rapid progress of genome science in recent years has led to a revolution in biomedical research. Analysis of life processes at the genome level provides systematic and comprehensive views to understand normal process, and to identify the abnormalities contributing to pathological statues. The efforts of his lab include technological development, and the application of these in addressing bio-medical issues.

Using the technical system, Dr. Wang’s lab has performed several genome-scale studies. These studies include:

Deciphering the patterns of gene expression in normal hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis
Evaluation and re-annotation of Drosophila genome
The Biological effects of radio frequency
Evolutionary study of gene expression in primates
Novel gene identification in the human genome
Cancer Risk and SLE
