Lynn Doglio, PhD
Research Associate Professor
Targeted and Transgenic Mutagenesis Laboratory
Center for Genetic Medicine
Feinberg School of Medicine
Dr. Doglio is the director of the Northwestern University Transgenic and Targeted Mutagenesis Laboratory (TTML). She began working with transgenic mouse models as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Chicago where she created transgenic mouse lines to study the molecular mechanisms governing immunoglobulin gene rearrangement. She has been associated with the Northwestern University Transgenic Facility since 1994. She became Director of Core Operations when the facility was reorganized into the TTML in 2003 and oversaw the expansion of the TTML on the medical school campus in September of 2005.
Dr. Doglio has worked with mice for over 20 years. To complement her microinjection and embryo manipulation expertise, she received training in ES cell technology at University of Michigan Transgenic Animal Model Core in 2002. In 2005, after completing the Workshop on Cryopreservation of Mouse Germplasm at The Jackson Laboratories, she established cryopreservation technologies at Northwestern University through the TTML. She continues to strive for excellence in her work.
