Research Interests:
As part of the long-term ongoing study of neural influences on erectile function as well as prostate growth, the laboratory of Kevin T. McVary has been involved in using molecular biologic techniques to assess genetic changes in the aforementioned aspects. Their recent foray into translational research using the same biomarkers is further evidence of interest in the recently formed center for genetic medicine. Dr. McVary’s laboratory has been one of the first urology labs performing microarrays.
