Faculty Biography:
Dania has been a pediatric genetic counselor in the Division of Genetics, Birth Defects, and Metabolism at Children’s Memorial Hospital, in Chicago, Illinois, since 2003, and is the program coordinator and counselor of both the 22q11 Deletion Syndrome Program and the Lysosomal Storage Diseases Program. She also holds faculty positions in the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University, and the Genetic Counseling Program in the Center for Genetic Medicine at Northwestern University. Dania received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Spanish and Psychology from Villanova University and her Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. She is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
