Curt M Horvath, PhD
Professor of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology
Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences
Professor of Medicine
Feinberg School of Medicine
Research Interests:
Dr. Horvath's laboratory uses functional genomics, proteomics, and molecular genetics approaches to study the process of gene transcription in the innate immune system. Of particular interest are host-pathogen interactions during virus infections that result in immune suppression and disease, as well as gene regulation during neoplastic transformation. Multidisciplinary techniques are used to understand both cellular and pathogen-induced elements involved in cytokine-induced responses.
